Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Gamplo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Gamplo is operated by Outpoot.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use Gamplo. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If we learn that a user is under 13, we will promptly delete their account and all associated data.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account.
  • Not create multiple accounts for the purpose of evading bans or abusing platform features.
  • Not impersonate other users, public figures, or Gamplo staff.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Usernames & Display Names

Usernames must be 3–20 characters and are permanent once chosen. Display names can be changed in Settings. Both must not contain offensive, misleading, or inappropriate content. We reserve the right to force-change names that violate these rules.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Gamplo to:

  • Post, upload, or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Distribute malware, spam, or phishing content.
  • Exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or glitches instead of reporting them.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to interact with the Service without permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or Gamplo's systems.
  • Circumvent rate limits, bans, or other security measures.
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose not authorized by Gamplo.

6. Games & User Content

Gamplo allows users to publish and play browser-based games.

For Players

Games on Gamplo are created by independent developers. Gamplo does not guarantee the quality, safety, or appropriateness of any game. Games are sandboxed in iframes on a separate subdomain and cannot access your Gamplo account credentials or session from the main site.

For Developers

By publishing a game on Gamplo, you represent that you own or have the necessary rights to all content in your game. You retain ownership of your game content, but grant Gamplo a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute it on the platform. You are responsible for any data your game collects beyond the Gamplo SDK.

Multiplayer & Bot Transparency

Games categorized as multiplayer must not deceive players about who they are playing with. If a multiplayer game uses bots (AI-controlled players), this must be clearly communicated — for example, by visually distinguishing bots from real players (different colors, name tags, or icons) or by explicitly stating the presence of bots in the game description. Fake multiplayer — presenting a single-player experience with bots as a real multiplayer game — is discouraged and may result in the game being recategorized or removed.

AI-Generated Content

Gamplo values human creativity. We actively discourage the use of AI-generated art, music, sound effects, descriptions, and other creative assets in games and user content. Using AI tools to assist with code is acceptable, but the visual, audio, and written identity of your game should be human-made. Games found to consist primarily of AI-generated creative content may be deprioritized, flagged, or removed at our discretion.

7. Forum & Chat

Forum posts and in-game chat messages are subject to our content rules. Messages are automatically moderated. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend users who repeatedly violate community guidelines. You retain ownership of your posts but grant Gamplo a license to display them on the platform.

8. Blips (Virtual Currency)

Purchasing

Blips are a virtual currency that can be purchased with real money through our payment processor (Polar). All prices are displayed before purchase.

No Refunds

All Blips purchases are final and non-refundable. Blips have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to other users.

License

Blips are a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use a virtual item within the Service. We reserve the right to modify, manage, or discontinue Blips at any time.

EU consumers: Under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), you acknowledge that by purchasing digital content (Blips), you consent to immediate delivery and waive your 14-day withdrawal right upon completion of the purchase.

9. Intellectual Property

The Gamplo platform, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by Outpoot. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the platform without permission. User-generated content (games, forum posts, chat messages) remains the property of the respective users.

10. Content Moderation

We use automated moderation systems and may manually review reported content. We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or ban any user at our discretion, with or without notice. Moderation decisions are final.

11. Privacy

Your use of Gamplo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

12. Disclaimers

Gamplo is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user-generated content or third-party games.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Outpoot and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of virtual currency (Blips), arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Outpoot from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Gamplo at any time for violation of these Terms, or for any reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from your Settings page. Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which Outpoot operates. For EU users, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply where they provide greater protection. You have the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence under applicable EU consumer protection laws.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Gamplo after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users.
